One week has passed since the occupation forces began bombarding and attacking residents in Jerusalem, West Bank, and the Gaza Strip after attempting to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The war crimes of the occupation forces continue on a daily basis, leaving 212 killed including 61 children and 36 women as well as injuring 1400 at least, according to the Health Ministry of Gaza.
As a result of the random airstrikes on civilians, humanitarian tragedy increases, as it left 33 people killed on Sunday, May 16.
The Israeli bombardment and airstrikes started after weeks of attempting to unjustly forcibly displace Palestinian families from their homes and giving it to settlers in Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
This was followed with attempts to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque with aims of destroying it, while attacking worshippers, and preventing them from praying in the mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
The occupation entity claims to bombard citizens in the street, residential buildings, media buildings, and water and electricity sources in self-defence, which clashes with the United Nation’s definition of self-defence, which states that the right to self-defence belongs to people living under occupation.
According to the United Nations, tens of thousands of Palestinians are displaced within Gaza, due to the indiscriminate and deliberate targeting of residential buildings of civilians.
The numbers of those killed reveal that most families, including women and children, are being killed while in their homes, which is compelling evidence of targeting civilians, not militias or tunnels as the occupation forces claim.
Human Rights groups all over the world denounced the lack of serious actions to stop the shedding of the blood of the innocent Palestinian civilians for a whole week, while the international community watches silently, and is rather supporting the occupation violations as stated by many US officials.
We demand the occupation forces stop the ongoing war immediately as it would inevitably lead to unprecedented humanitarian crisis, and chaos in the whole region.
